In this model of Rat Park, the plan was to create two stand-alone retail displays. I decided to create one as a greeting card display. I mocked up one in sweet home 3d to see about how many greeting cards were needed.
Next, I went to my wife’s instagram account (lol), and grabbed a lot of her cards (about 80)
I then had to bring them into GIMP to clean up and scale. This was time consuming but worth it since I’m using real greeting cards that my wife made.
I printed these out on 80 lb white cardstock.
I cut out with an x-acto knife but later found the scissors did a better job.
Originally, I was going to use the cards as is, but my wife talked me into trying them with tape since she puts her cards in a clear plastic sleeve.
I liked how they looked so I covered all of the cards in tape. (one thing I didn’t plan for was the tape’s sticky residue which I had to use my finger nails to remove)
